Spaccanapoli – Naples, Italy –based quintet updating Neopolitan roots music putting tarantellas and tammurriatas into a glorious new framework covering jazz to rap. Their presence evokes the vibrant energy of a street carnival or a fest in a courtyard in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius. Using the violin, accordion, piano, woodwinds, drums, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, and vocals, the group has a very powerful stage presence.
