BADENYA LES FRERES COULIBALY:
Badenya Les Freres Coulibaly – Griots from Burkina Faso. Presenting the music of today with a caretaker's responsibility to keep alive the traditions of deep Africa. Singing, dancing, using djembe, balafon, guitar, garango, ngoni, sabar, tama, doumdoum, maracas, bara, bass and keyboards, this group of seven artists has appeared at the Montreux Jazz Festival, opening for Miles Davis. They have toured with Salif Keita, Cesaria Evora, Johnny Clegg, Zakir Hussain and have appeared with George Clinton.
